Every so often our Head Florist, Miss Nicky Grieve holds workshops at the local Adult Education Centre. 

These are excellent days for both beginners and experienced flower arrangers.   They are a chance to get away for a few hours and simply "play" with flowers and make something beautiful to take home.

The day starts at 10am in Nicky`s own Floristry room at the local college.  (Details supplied on application)  The room is spacious and has just the right requirements for the budding Florist..............desks at the correct height, running water..............and tea and coffee facilities...!!!.....

All neccesary materials are supplied at wholesale price, (You will be advised of the total cost, but this will be in the region of £25) - you just need to turn up with your scissors and lunch.........

You then have until 3pm to play.......................

Nicky will demonstrate an arrangement, then you will have approximately an hour to have a go.................with Nicky keeping an eye on you, every step of the way.  We average four arrangements throughout the day - and you get to take them all home..............to wow your family.....xx

The workshops are always held on a Saturday - the last being on the 4th of April 2009.  We try to be as seasonal as poss - the last workshop having a title of SPRING DESIGNS.  We made four arrangements using a variety of spring flowers, including Tulips, Hyacinths, Blossom and Willow.  We explored different mediums and moved away from the traditional containers - from covering jam jars with Laurel and Raffia to constructing a table arrangement with a willow frame - loads of fun !!!!!!!!
